say a new 2010 porsche msrp'd at 100k, how much would it be worth after 2 years or 3 years?|||Some of these stories are true, others are lame guesses. It depends on the Model of Porsche you're talking about. If you bought a Carrera GT (1900 made at $440,000 each), it has never depreciated and some people will pay more for it than the new price. A 1997 911 Turbo S in mint condition today is worth about what it cost new -- $115,000. My 2005 911 Turbo S coupe, near mint, is worth about fifty percent of what it retailed for new ($147,00); however, it may be going up again as the economy improves.
Typically, a $100,000 Porsche 911 will lose around 10 percent to 20 percent of value the first year. Depending on condition and mileage, it may lose that much again the second year, or less. After that public perception of the particular body style (993, 996, and now the 997) has an impact. Certain cars, such as that 1997 Turbo S (a little over 400 made) fare better to much better. Other cars, such as older Porsche Boxsters don't do as well; but then, none of them cost $100,000 to begin with.|||My Dad had a 911 Turbo (997) with most the worthwhile extras an it lost half its value in 2 years|||it will worth cca 60k|||out of the showroom = ~ 80% depreciation
for every year down = 10-15% each year
