If i jump start a porsche 911 da car will start but if i stop and try 2 restart da car again it will not start?

why is that the car will not start after i stop. How many years will a new porsche battery will last?|||Da battery is no good.|||How long are you driving it after the jump start? A fully discharged battery takes a lot of charging. Chances are good that your battery is gone. Either try driving it half an hour or more, or take it to a shop and have them attempt to fully charge the battery.

You probably need a new battery. I've seen them last as little as three years, and as many as seven. Park the car out in extreme temperatures and your battery is likely to be short-lived.|||Do not try to use your expensive Porsche alternator to charge your battery.

Take the battery out, charge it, and have it checked with a load tester.

Then with a fully charged battery, start the car.

(Do not ever jump start a car unless it is an emergency. It risks ruining the alternator, as it tried to charge up an empty battery.)

Then check your alternator.

With a voltmeter, the battery should read 12.5 volts about.

When cranking, it should drop to around 10.

(If it is 11 you have bad starter brushes, but 9 would be bad battery or binding starter.)

Then it should return to 12.5 when it starts.

But 13.5 when you rev it up.|||A Porsche battery is not unlike any other car battery and should be replaced every 3-5 years. I use an OPTIMA Battery - lasts longer and no terminal maintenance required.|||Same as any other - get a new battery and get the alternator checked out as well as its clearly not charging.
